At this year's festival, we want to remember that our creative world is also a created world, a gift our Creator has commissioned us to take care of and help flourish. So we're doing what we can to reduce, reuse, recycle, and redeem. Here's some of the ways we're working to make this a sustainable festival:

Reducing the number of cars on the road by encouraging carpooling and biking. We've set up an carpooling website so you can plan to ride out and back with others from your are. We also have reclaimed, redesigned T-shirts (used, of course) to those determined folks who want to bike out to the festival. We want to get 40 people cycling this year, so join Captain Earth and get your pedal on!

Reducing nonbiodegradeable waste, with the Watershed Cafe committed to using only compostable coffee cups and natural cleaners being used for bathrooms and dishwashing

Reducing disposable dishes by setting up a dish-share site where plates, mugs, and utensils will be available for whoever needs them. Just wash them and return them when you're done!

Reusing dishes, with dish-washing stations set up throughout the festival site

Recycling and composting locally at Minnie's Pit in Mission.

Redeeming our inevitable carbon footprint through a conservation project with A Rocha

That's what we've been up to. Now here's what you can do to make Creative World a sustainable event:
